Who is this girl?
Rita Posillico is an actress/musician from New York. She has been performing and training in music and acting for the past 15 years, attending Stella Adler, The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, UCB, and studying under the classical pianists, Beth Schwartz and Morton Estrin. She recently composed and produced her first musical Could Have Been in NYC and was nominated for ‘Outstanding Score in a Comedy’ as a part of the LAWebFest 2018. She currently musically directs shows, performs all around the New York area and is the official music director at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Asides from music, some of her more humane traits include yoga, kickboxing, and walking around town with her dog Champion.
Rita can now be found playing 'Kelly & Others' in the Off-Broadway show The Office! A Musical Parody at the Jerry Orbach Theater. She will also be celebrating and performing for Woodstock 50 with her band Rita & The Playboys Saturday, August 17th in Bethel, NY at the event The Electric Church. September 22nd Rita will be performing with her fellow women+ cast from The Office! A Musical Parody at Feinstein's 54 Below in a gender-bent comedy show, That's What She Said. Rita recently finished musically directing the show Man Up at the Kraine Theater and The Dramatists Guild Foundation. This year she also made her debut musically directing at the Beechman Theatre for the show Times Squares and also made a compositional debut at Joe's Pub this past June as a part of NYYS' musical theater program.
